My Best & Worst Films Of 2019

In this list I’m going to give you a run-down of my best & worst of 2019.

Satanic Panic – A pizza delivery girl at the end of her financial rope has to fight for her life – and her tips – when her last order of the night turns out to be high society Satanists in need of a virgin sacrifice.

The Night Sitter – A con artist poses as a babysitter to steal from a wealthy occult enthusiast. One of the kids she’s sitting unwittingly summons a trio of witches known as The Three Mothers.

One Cut Of The Dead – Things go badly for a hack director and film crew shooting a low budget zombie film in an abandoned WWII Japanese facility when they are attacked by real zombies.
Doctor Sleep – Years following the events of “The Shining,” a now-adult Dan Torrance must protect a young girl with similar powers from a cult known as The True Knot, who prey on children with powers to remain immortal.
The Prodigy – A mother concerned about her young son’s disturbing behavior thinks something supernatural may be affecting him.
Girl On The Third Floor – A man tries to renovate a dilapidated house for his growing family, only to learn that the house has other plans.
Brightburn – What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister?
Us – A family’s serene beach vacation turns to chaos when their doppelgängers appear and begin to terrorize them.
The Hole In The Ground – A young mother living in the Irish countryside with her son suspects his increasingly disturbing behaviour is linked to a mysterious sinkhole in the forest.

Itsy Bitsy – An ancient mysterious relic unleashes a giant prehistoric spider that terrorizes a single mother and her two children in their new house.
Shed Of The Dead – An unemployed man who spends his days hiding from his nagging wife in his allotment shed faces a difficult decision when a zombie apocalypse strikes his neighbourhood.

The Furies – A woman is kidnapped and finds herself an unwilling participant in a deadly game where women are hunted by masked men.

Book Of Monsters – Sophie’s 18th birthday becomes a bloodbath when monsters descend upon her house and start to devour the party guests. Sophie and her friends must rally together to send their party crashers back to hell.

Depraved – A disillusioned field surgeon suffering from PTSD makes a man out of body parts and brings him to life in a Brooklyn loft.

Eli – A boy becomes trapped in a haunted house while undergoing treatment for a rare disease.

The Banana Splits Movie – A boy and his family attend a taping of the Banana Splits TV show, but the fun quickly fades when the beloved characters embark on an unpredictable killing spree.
Room For Rent – A lonely widow rents out a room in her house and becomes dangerously obsessed with her guest.
Tone-Deaf – A woman goes to the countryside to spend a quiet weekend after losing her job and having her last complicated relationship implode. She rents a country house to an old-fashioned widower, who struggles to hide his pyschopatic tendencies.
Annabelle Comes Home – While babysitting the daughter of Ed and Lorraine Warren, a teenager and her friend unknowingly awaken an evil spirit trapped in a doll.
Slaughterhouse Rulez – An elite British boarding school turns into a battleground for survival when seismic tremors unleash unspeakable horrors from the ground.
Rabid – Quiet Rose works in women’s fashion clothing, hoping to be a designer. A traffic accident damages her face. She gets experimental stem cell treatment, leaving her stronger and prettier than ever – but there’s a side effect.
It Chapter Two – Twenty-seven years after their first encounter with the terrifying Pennywise, the Losers Club have grown up and moved away, until a devastating phone call brings them back.
1BR – After leaving behind a painful past to follow her dreams, Sarah scores the perfect Hollywood apartment. But something is not right. Unable to sleep, tormented by strange noises and threatening notes, her new life quickly starts to unravel.
The Possession Of Hannah Grace – A demon seeks refuge in a young girl’s body when she dies due to an unruly exorcism. Later, her corpse is moved to a morgue guarded by a former officer who experiences unnatural events.
Bloodline – Evan values family above all else, and anyone who gets between him, his wife, and newborn son learns that the hard way. But when it comes to violent tendencies, it seems the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Ma – A lonely woman befriends a group of teenagers and decides to let them party at her house. Just when the kids think their luck couldn’t get any better, things start happening that make them question the intention of their host.
Crawl – A young woman, while attempting to save her father during a category 5 hurricane, finds herself trapped in a flooding house and must fight for her life against alligators.

Tales From The Lodge – Friends gather at a lodge to commemorate a friend, who drowned in a lake near by 3 years ago. They tell each other scary stories and suddenly find themselves in one.

Boar – In the harsh, yet beautiful Australian outback lives a beast, an animal of staggering size, with a ruthless, driving need for blood and destruction. It cares for none, defends its territory with brutal force, and kills with a raw, animalistic savagery unlike any have seen before.

Harpoon – Rivalries, dark secrets, and sexual tension emerge when three friends find themselves stranded on a yacht in the middle of the ocean under suspicious circumstances.
Ready Or Not – A bride’s wedding night takes a sinister turn when her eccentric new in-laws force her to take part in a terrifying game.
Escape Room – Six strangers find themselves in a maze of deadly mystery rooms and must use their wits to survive.
Pledge – A group of college freshmen pledge an exclusive fraternity but soon realize there’s more at stake than they could have ever imagined.
 
Scary Stories to Tell In The Dark – On Halloween 1968, reclusive Stella and her two friends meet a mysterious drifter, Ramón, and uncover a sinister notebook of stories.
The Cleaning Lady – As a means to distract herself from an affair, a love-addicted woman befriends a cleaning lady, badly scarred by burns. She soon learns, these scars run much deeper than the surface.
Artik – Obsessed with comic books, a serial killer teaches his son how to get away with brutal murders — until the boy befriends a mysterious man who threatens to expose everything.
Hoax – An investigative team travels deep into the remote Colorado wilderness after some young campers are viciously murdered by what may be Bigfoot.
The Gallows Act II – An acting student encounters a malevolent spirit after participating in a viral challenge.
Critters Attack! – A reluctant babysitter takes kids on a hike, unaware that an alien ship full of hungry critters has crash-landed nearby.

They’re Inside – When two sisters go to an isolated cabin in the woods to film a passion project, family secrets start to get in the way, as do masked strangers filming a passion project of their own.

Body At Brighton Rock – A park ranger spends the night guarding a potential crime scene on a remote mountain trail.
Thriller – A childhood prank comes back to haunt a clique of South Central Los Angeles teens when their victim returns home during their high-school Homecoming weekend.
Darker Than Night – Sloan Carter is a young girl who has recently been blinded. Her father leaves for the weekend and her two best friends, returning home from University, keep her company. A protege of her father’s, passing through town, also spends the night. The peaceful weekend is interrupted by a shadowy threat and the safe country getaway turns into a fight for survival.
Gags The Clown – A reporter tries to uncover the identity of a mysterious clown who’s terrorizing residents of Green Bay, Wis.
The Intruder – A young married couple buys a beautiful house on several acres of land, only to find out that the man they bought it from refuses to let go of the property.
Hell House LLC III: Lake Of Fire – A host takes his show into an abandoned hotel that is rumored to be haunted.
Polaroid – High school loner Bird Fitcher finds a vintage Polaroid camera that holds dark and mysterious secrets. She soon realizes that those who get their picture taken by it meet a tragic and untimely death.
Clickbait – A college student who will do just about anything for Internet fame is kidnapped by a fan, and her reluctant roommate is the only one who can save her.

The Silence – When the world is under attack from terrifying creatures who hunt their human prey by sound, 16-year old Ally Andrews, who lost her hearing at 13, and her family seek refuge in a remote haven.
3 From Hell – After barely surviving a brutal police shootout, the demented Firefly clan unleash a whole new wave of murder, madness and mayhem.

Cherokee Creek – A real party animal crashes a bachelor party in the woods.

Midsommar – A couple travels to Sweden to visit a rural hometown’s fabled mid-summer festival. What begins as an idyllic retreat quickly devolves into an increasingly violent and bizarre competition at the hands of a pagan cult.

Butterfly Kisses – A filmmaker discovers a box of video tapes depicting two students’ disturbing film project featuring a local horror legend, The Peeping Tom. As he sets out to prove this story is real and release it as a work of his own, he loses himself and the film crew following him into his project.

The Haunting Of Sharon Tate – Pregnant with director Roman Polanski’s child and awaiting his return from Europe, 26-year-old Hollywood actress Sharon Tate becomes plagued by visions of her imminent death.
Braid – Two wanted women decide to rob their wealthy psychotic friend who lives in the fantasy world they created as children; to take the money they have to take part in a deadly perverse game of make believe.
Pet Sematary – Dr. Louis Creed and his wife, Rachel, relocate from Boston to rural Maine with their two young children. The couple soon discover a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near their new home.
Witches In The Woods – Seven friends set off for a weekend on the slopes. On the way, their car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. With temperatures falling and their nerves on edge, they turn on one another as they attempt to survive the night.
Hostile – Juliette, a lone survivor of an apocalyptic era, fights to survive against hunger, thirst, a broken leg and strange, disturbing creatures that only come out at nighttime.
Candy Corn – It’s Halloween weekend and a group of bullies are planning their annual hazing on local outcast, Jacob Atkins. When they take things too far, he’s resurrected to seek revenge against those that wronged him.
The Baylock Residence – A woman is informed that she has inherited her deceased sister’s house.
 
Child’s Play – A mother gives her 13-year-old son a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature.
Happy Death Day 2U – Tree Gelbman discovers that dying over and over was surprisingly easier than the dangers that lie ahead.

Beneath The Leaves – Years after being incarcerated for attempting to murder four boys, a deranged psychopath escapes prison and is determined to finish the job.

The Amityville Murders – On the night of November 13, 1974, Ronald DeFeo, Jr. took a high-powered rifle and murdered his entire family as they slept. At his trial, DeFeo claimed that “voices” in the house commanded him to kill. This is their story.

I Spit On Your Grave: Deja Vu – Forty years after a woman gets revenge on her attackers, she faces the wrath of the families of the men she killed. She and her daughter are kidnapped and have to face off against a gang of degenerates overseen by a violently unhinged matriarch.

Camp Wedding – Members of a bridal party working to transform a dilapidated summer camp into a beautiful wedding venue are killed off one by one.
The Dead Don’t Die – The peaceful town of Centerville finds itself battling a zombie horde as the dead start rising from their graves.
Black Christmas – A group of female students are stalked by a stranger during their Christmas break. That is until the young sorority pledges discover that the killer is part of an underground college conspiracy.
In the Tall Grass – After hearing a young boy’s cry for help, a sister and brother venture into a vast field of tall grass in Kansas but soon discover there may be no way out…and that something evil lurks within.
Creep Nation – Spy cameras hidden in a rental home broadcast a woman’s murder to the darknet.
The Final Wish – After the death of his father, Aaron returns home to help his grief-stricken mother and to confront his past. Going through his dad’s belongings, he comes across a mysterious item that is more than it seems.

Don’t Let Go – Detective Jack Radcliff gets a shocking phone call from his recently murdered niece Ashley. Working together across time, they race to solve the crime before it can happen.

 
47 Meters Down: Uncaged – Four teen girls diving in a ruined underwater city quickly learn they’ve entered the territory of the deadliest shark species in the claustrophobic labyrinth of submerged caves.
 
The Young Cannibals – Seven friends summon a monster when they are tricked into eating burgers made of human flesh.

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile – A chronicle of the crimes of Ted Bundy, from the perspective of his longtime girlfriend, who refused to believe the truth about him for years.
The Curse Of La Llorona – Ignoring the eerie warning of a troubled mother suspected of child endangerment, a social worker and her own small kids are soon drawn into a frightening supernatural realm.

Well there you have it, my best & worst films of 2019! You may disagree with some or even most of my choices (this is MY opinion) and I know for a fact that I have missed some (I can’t watch ALL the films).
