Horror Review: Burning Bright (2010)

A young woman and her autistic little brother are trapped in a house with a ravenous tiger during a hurricane.

Just read that plot outline again, if that doesn't make you want to watch the film then you've got something wrong with you.

In all honesty, I understand that the synopsis sounds wacky but I couldn't help myself and curiosity got the better of me and I must admit I was shocked and in a good way.

First of all my first shock was that as far fetched as the plot is the story actually makes sense, it even has a decent sub plot to thicken up the story. This creates a tense atmosphere that I wasn't expecting, plus some great character development.

One thing I hugely applaud is that they didn't go down the CGI route when it came to the tiger, that is a live Tiger you are seeing hunting them around the house and it just adds to the films atmosphere and realism.

It truly is an edge-of-your-seat feature and if you give it your full attention you'll find yourself entranced, I still can't believe this was a straight to DVD release.

"Burning Bright" is a true gem that doesn't get the credit is deserves, give it a try you won't be disappointed.
