Horror Review: Unmasked - The True Story Of The World's Most Prolific, Cinematic Killer (2011)

"Unmasked" documents the life story of Horror Icon Kane Hodder.

Kane Hodder is considered a modern day Horror Icon, all icons have a story to tell and with "Unmasked" we finally get to know it.

When you mention the name Kane Hodder there are many words that come to mind such as strength, muscular, Intimidating, the list goes on. So it's surprising to learn that he was taunted and beaten relentlessly by bullies throughout his childhood, It's facts like these which make me read autobiographies.

With "Unmasked" we get a true and very honest account of Kane's personal life and his career in which he grafted and grafted to get to where he is today, he truly has earned his iconic status but like usual it didn't come without its hardships.

I'm talking about his burn incident, For the first time, Kane finally tells the true story of the horrific injury that nearly killed him at the start of his career. It's a heart-wrenching yet inspirational story of his recovery, the emotional and physical damage it caused and his fight to break back into the industry that almost killed him.

If I'm honest this review just doesn't do justice to the book itself, it is a real page turner that I found very difficult to put down and know I will find myself reading it again very soon in the future, yes it's that good. I just don't want to give too much away.

"Unmasked - The True Story Of The World's Most Prolific, Cinematic Killer" is a fantastic read and very insightful, even if you're not a fan of Horror I'm sure you'll stind find it intriguing.
