Where Are They Now?: #6

Does this guy look familiar to you?

No? Well what if I told you he played this character:

Yes that's right this month's "Where Are They Now?" segment is on Horrors own creepy kid, Danny Lloyd.

Danny Lloyd was born on January 1st 1973. In 1980 he got the role in "The Shining", it was his first role and also his most famous. He was selected for the role due to his ability to maintain his concentration for extended periods of time.

Lloyd wowed audiences with his debut performance as the psychic Danny, Amazingly, Kubrick managed to film The Shining without ever revealing to the six-year old Lloyd that they were making a horror movie.

He did also do an interview in "Making The Shining" the same year then seemed to just disappear.

Despite his performance in "The Shining", little was subsequently heard or seen of Lloyd, other than an appearance as 'Young Liddy' in the 1982 made-for-TV movie, "Will: The Autobiography of G. Gordon Liddy."He then retired from acting claiming he had no interest in it.

Lloyd was not heard of for many years, simply slipping into obscurity like a-lot of child actors. In 2007, Lloyd became the professor of biology at a community college in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and in December of the same year he became a teacher of sciences in Missouri.

Now he's nearing his 40's and a flourishing career in teaching he insists he made the right decision quitting acting. Despite this he will always be little Danny Torrance to Horror fans worldwide.
