My Love For Horror Anthologies

Ever since I was a child and having the attention span of a goldfish, like all kids do, I've loved a good short Horror story. I would pay attention to detail and the world around me was forgotten, if it didn't have some sort of creepy element then I wasn't interested, so it's no wonder that as I got older I fell in love with the Horror genre.

Lost Horror Films

I've always had a fascination when it comes to lost Horror film. In this day and age it's hard to believe there is such a thing, but as we know they didn't have the technology back then that we do now.

"Puppet Master" Franchise Review

For a while now I've been doing Horror movie franchise reviews for the website SomeWhatNerdy. Well this month I have been reviewing the "Puppet Master" franchise. It was great to look back over one of my favourite and campiest franchises in b-movie Horror.

The History Of "Mary Shelley's Frankenstein"

"Frankenstein" or, "The Modern Prometheus" is a novel written by Mary Shelley about an experiment that produces a monster. Shelley started writing the story when she was only eighteen, and the novel was published when she was twenty-one. The first edition was actually published anonymously in London in 1818. Shelley's name finally appeared on the second edition, published in France in 1823.

Fears Caused By Horror Films

It's happened to us all, we've watched a film and something inside our head has clicked and you realise you now view something in a completely different way. Or there's the time when you are doing something and your brain will remind you that this happened in a scary movie you saw. Here's a list of some things that people now have a fear of due to Horror films:

STOP S.O.P.A.!!!

American Congress is about to pass internet censorship, even though the vast majority of Americans are opposed. We need to kill the bill - PIPA in the Senate and SOPA in the House - to protect our rights to free speech, privacy, and prosperity. The Senate is scheduled to vote on the internet censorship bill on Tuesday, January 24th, and unless we can find 41 senators to block the vote, it is going to pass.

Think it won't affect those of us outside the US?..... Think again!!!

To some people Friday the 13th is a very unlucky day, to others it's just a normal day..... But to Horror fans it's a very special day, it's the day we celebrate the legend that is Jason Voorhees!

The Worst People To Watch A Horror Film With

We've all experienced it, sat down at home or even the cinema and there's one person who ruins the film for everyone. There are many types of people who ruin it in their own way. Here's a list of those people:

Icon Of The Month: Michael Berryman

That's right, this month Michael Berryman is my Icon of the month. He is such an under-rated actor and, in my opinion, has never got the recognition he deserves from the film business, but his fans truly love him and he does have a-lot of fans in the Horror genre.

Raz's Midnight Macabre: What's New?

With 2012 now upon us I have decided to make some minor changes to this blog. Don't worry it's nothing major, just a few little tweaks here and there to make things better and to try and get my work recognised a bit more. I currently have a top notch artist working on different logo designs at the moment, one of which is featured above.
