Ten Years On: The Mist

For this 'Ten Years On' post we take a look back at "The Mist"

I can't begin to tell you how much I love this film, I can't believe it's been ten years!

Director Frank Darabont has a knack for adapting Stephen Kings novels into gold on screen, he
proved this with "The Shawshank Redemption" and "The Green Mile" but this was his first taste of the Horror of King.

Once again he proved that he has the golden touch and delivered a thrilling and intense feature that grabbed audiences, it certainly helped that he had a stunning cast to work with and they all delivered amazing performances.

The film is quite famous for it's ending, I won't spoil it for anyone who haven't seen it but I remember my jaw dropping to the floor and staying there for quite a while, Even King himself stated that he loved the changed ending and wish he'd wrote it.

The film is now being made into a tv series and there's quite an anticipation for it which shows you that the fanbase for it is still quite big and I think it could work well in a tv series format, I'm quite looking forward to it myself.

Ten years on and "The Mist" is still a genre favourite and too right, it hasn't aged at all and I feel it will continue to be for a very long time.
