Horror Review: Fair Game (1986)

A young woman running a wildlife sanctuary in the Australian outback is in for trouble when she is confronted by three kangaroo hunters.

Good old Ozploitation, I love this sub-genre!

The film takes a little while to get and whilst it may seem that it's pointless it does well to establish the characters we're about to invest our time in and it bodes well for the rest of the movie and does well to set the tone.

Once the story does get going it's fun to watch the cat and mouse game evolve and the intensity slowly ramps up and you find yourself really getting involved in the story and it's edge of your seat stuff.

The films location is an excellent setting for this film, looking out at vast emptiness and the seclusion of our lead actress creates a great atmosphere for viewers and also creates a great landscape for the story.

The premise may be simple but it works,
Cassandra Delaney puts in a great performance as our lead lady and it's a shame she never did much more, the rest of the cast also do a great job in their roles.

"Fair Game" is an underrated feature that I suggest you go hunting for.
