31 Days Of Horror: Day 9 - Wilderness (2006)

Juvenile delinquents gets sent to a small British island after a fellow prisoners death, where they have to fight for survival.

You've just got to love British Horror, this film shows you why.

I've always enjoyed films set in an isolated location, out in the wild. The reason is, is because you get the sense that anything can and probably will happen.

The story itself is great, it shows it's influences with pride with the likes of "The Most Dangerous Game","Deliverance" even "Lord Of The Flies", not a bad list to take direction from.

The assembled cast is perfect, especially the addition of the always amazing Sean Pertwee, he's one of the most under-rated actors in the business today.

The film is high energy, blood soaked and thrilling, it makes for some great fun as a viewer and the mystery aspect keeps you on the edge of your seat.

"Wilderness" is a brutal and entertaining film, if you haven't watched it then make sure you do.
