When the Davison family comes under attack during their wedding anniversary getaway, the gang of mysterious killers soon learns that one of victims harbours a secret talent for fighting back.
Reviewing a film like this can be hard to do simply because you don't want to give any surprises or twists away, but I'm going to do my best to keep it all under wraps.
I've always been drawn towards home invasion movies, maybe it's because of my own fears of someone breaking into my house but whatever it is I'm glad of it because I enjoy them just that little bit more.
The movie doesn't take long to get going and also features one of the best opening scenes I've seen for quite a while, it also sets a perfect tone for what we're in for the next 90 minutes and what a tone it is.
Once the films tense atmosphere gets going never never drops and it manages to do it in a way that never dulls and holds your attention until the ending, oh and what great ending it has.
The film wears it's influences on it's sleeves and that's no bad thing, it has a great modern Horror vibe mixed in amazingly well with an 80's feel. It something that shouldn't work but it does.
"You're Next" Is a great roller-coaster of a film and definitely worth your time.
